Northern Quest also has a terribly bad habit of hiring people into management positions that are garbage at their job, and those people get stuck into those positions until they retire or die, even though new hires could do the job 1000% better.Ī typical day for me is coming in to the same rotation due to lazy management, getting talked down to by guests (customers), dealing with drug addicts, alcoholics, gambling addicts, at any point worrying about my safety and the safety of others, picking up used needles, dealing with lost and found from marijuana to meth to heroin, walking around in cigarette and cigar smoke all day ( seriously it gets embedded into your clothing.) and still getting paid absolute garbage. ![]() Northern Quest hires you and every other person they possibly can with the act like it's the best job you will ever work in your life, you meet the HR team first and although they're nice, they don't understand the stress and struggle of working inside the Casino.įrom Management, Directors, to Executives, you don't exist, especially if you work in Resort Operations or Security, if your department "doesn't make money" for the Casino you are considered non-essential, funny considering the place would burn down without ROH or Security.
